Discuss with examples the philosophical perspectives of elementary education and its implication on elementary education curriculum.

Define Non Formal Education (NFE). Discuss any three models of NFE developed by different agencies in India.

2. Discuss the main features of Tenth Five Year plan towards the development of Elementary Education in our country.

OR

Critically examine the advantages and limitations of competency based evaluation at Primary Stage.

3.    Answer any four of the following questions in about 150 words each :

(a)    Distinguish between Wastage and Stagnation. Explain briefly how wastage can be reduced at a faster rate ?

(b)    How is elementary education affected by social change ?

(c)    What are educational implication of Education Guarantee Scheme (EGS) ?

(d)    Write a note on Millenium Development Goals (MDGs).

(e)    What is meant by School mapping ? Explain briefly the role of teachers in school mapping.

(f)    Evaluation is an integral part of instruction. Justify.
