8.    (a) Discuss the design of All pass filters.

(b) Design a band-pass filter of second order with a mid-band voltage gain Av = 50. Center frequency f0 = 200 Hz and Bandwidth = 20 Hz.

Or

9.    (a) Compare Butterworth and Chebyshev filters.

(b) Design a fourth order Butterworth low pass filter having upper cut off frequency of 1 kHz. Sketch the circuit and indicate design values.

(k) Explain the concept of long term and short term frequency stability.

(1) Draw Sample and Hold circuit.

(m) What are the advantages of active filters over passive filters?

2.    (a) Sketch the level shifting circuit used in op-amp and explain the working.

(b) Explain the applications of op-amp as

(i) voltage to current converter (ii) current to voltage converter.

3.    (a) Draw the circuit diagram of precision rectifier and explain its salient features.

(b) Draw the differentiator circuit of op-amp and explain the working.

4.    (a) Derive the condition for frequency of oscillations and explain the operation of RC phase-shift oscillator.

(b) Draw the circuit of astable multivibrator and explain its working with all the relevant waveforms, erive expression for frequency.

Or

5.    (a) Draw the circuit diagram of a 10 Hz to 10 kHz V/F converter and give the design steps.

(b) Design a Schmitt trigger with VTP = 4 V and LTP = 2.5 V. Draw the circuit diagram.

6.    (a) Design an astable multivibrator using 555 for a frequency of 1200 Hz square wave. Draw the output waveforms.

(b) Explain successive approximation method of Analog to digital converter.

7. (a) Explain R-2R ladder type D/A converter with example.

(b) Explain clearly about ADC and DAC specifications
