I.       Long Essay.                                                                 1x20=20

1.       Explain in detail the role of Scapula and its musculature in providing mobility and stability to the shoulder joint and discuss the mechanism of shoulder abduction in detail.

                                                          OR

2.       Discuss in detail the acute inflammatory response to injury and the factors affecting healing following soft tissue injuries.

II.      Short Essay.                                                                

1.      Write short note on the nutritional requirements of a marathon runner.   [10]

2.      Write short note on anabolic steroids as doping agents used in sports.  [10]

3.      Describe the neuromuscular junction.                                              [10]

4.      Discuss in detail the cardiac cycle.                                                   [10]

5.      Discuss the anatomy of muscle spindle and its role in stretch reflex.    [10]

6.      Describe the human ventilation control.                                         [10]
