SECTION - A [40 Marks]
1. All questions are compulsory. Answer upto 5 lines in length. [5x3=15]
a. Passive mobilization.
b. Tredlenburg’s gait.
c. Isotonic exercise.
d. Length tension relationship of muscles.
e. Relaxation exercises.
2. Answer the following question upto 3 pages in length which is Compulsory. [10]
Describe strengthening exercise. Describe the various principles of progressive resistive exercise.
3. Attempt any ONE question out of the following two questions and Answer should be upto 5 pages in length. [15]
a. Describe the causes of poor balance and physiotherapy strategies adopted to improve it.

b. Describe various pathological gaits due to muscle imbalance around hip, knee and ankle joint.

b. Muscle testing of planter flexors in grade 5.
c. Contraindications of joint mobilization.
d. Define muscle tone and abnormal tone.

2. Answer the following question upto 3 pages in length which is Compulsory. [10]
Describe the technique of Surya namashkar and its benefits.
3. Attempt any ONE question out of the following two questions and Answer should be upto 5 pages in length. [15]
a. Define basic principles of fluid mechanics, physiological and therapeutic effects of hydrotherapy.
OR
b. Describe the principle of manual muscle testing. Describe manual muscle testing of hamstring muscles and its stretching.
