(a) What is psychological research ? State the classification of psychological
research as provided by M.R. D’Amato and explain in detail correlational research.
(b) discuss the counterbalancing technique to control sequential relevant variables in
single group design.

(c) define the procedure of measurement of differential threshold (DL) by the
method of minimal modifications.

(d) What is psychophysical scale ? define the kinds of psychophysical scales with
illustrations.

2. What is instrumental conditioning ? discuss it’s classification and explain the variables
affecting the acquisition of non discriminative appetitive instrumental conditioning. (20)

OR

discuss in detail, simple schedules of reinforcement and define the behaviour
trends generated by simple schedules.

3. What is memory ? define the kinds of memory. discuss in detail, the causes
(theories) of forgetting. (20)

OR

define in detail, kinds of experimental studies of issue solving.

4. (a) The data of a few books’ price and their numbers of pages are as under. From this
data compute correlation co-efficient ranging from price of book and number of pages
by Pearson’s product moment method. (10)

of boys and girls ? The test of Social sensitivity was administered to both groups.
These 2 groups were matched for mean and S.D. upon general intelligence test.
