1.         Convert binary 110.0012 to a decimal number.

2.         How is hexadecimal to binary conversion made? State with an example.

3.         What are universal gates?

4.         State the application of parity generator and checker.

5.         Draw the logic symbol of an inverter.

6.         Mention any two 74 devices.

7.         Draw the IEEE symbol of RS flip flop.

8.         What is the use of D FF in digital computers?

9.         The total number of cells in a memory determines its _________.

10.       Define cache memory.

 

PART – B (5 x 3 = 15 MARKS)

 

11.       Use 2’s complement arithmetic method to add +125 and -68.

12.       State DeMorgan’s theorem.

13.       Explain the size of pull-up resistance when used as external drive for TTL loads.

14.       Define Schmitt trigger.

15.       Write the difference between RAM and ROM.
