5. What guidelines should be kept in mind to write a collection letter?
6. What are the essential features of correspondence in the banking industry?
7. Prepare a specimen agenda for a board meeting.
8. What are the different features of a short report?
PART B — (4 × 15 = 60 marks)
Answer any FOUR questions.
9. You are the manager of a college. Make an order to a stationery dealer for the stationary requirements of your college.
10. You are running a firm supplying computer peripherals. Write a letter rejecting the order of a dealer giving specific reasons.
11. Write a letter to a publisher detailing the missing pages in a book that you bought from them and ask for a replacement.
12. Write a letter to an insurance company asking them details about packages available for life insurance.
13. Draft a circular letter to the customers informing them of new timings of your shop.
14. Define ‘minutes’ and state the different methods of recording minutes.
15. Discuss the characteristics of a good speech. What points should be kept in mind while drafting a speech.
