FINAL M.B.B.S. Part-I EXAMINATION JANUARY 2011
OPHTHALMOLOGY
Time: Three Hours Max Marks: 40
Use a separate answer book for each section. 
Question No. 1 & 5 in Section A & B are compulsory. Attempt any 
Two questions from the rest of the questions in each section.

SECTION-A (Marks: 20)
1. Write short notes on any two:-
 (i) Trachoma
 (ii) Buphthalmos
 (iii) Retinal Detachment.
2. Enumerate difference between:-
 (i) Papillitis & Papilloedema
 (ii) Optical Iridectomy & Congenital Iris coloboma.
3. Enumerate clinical signs and management of alkali burns of the eye.
4. Primary Retinitis Pigmentosa types clinical picture and treatment.

Section-B (Marks: 20)
5. Attempt any five of the following:-
 (a) Causes of myopia
 (b) Binocular diplopia
 (c) Structures passing through superior orbital fissure
 (d) Uses of fluorescein in ophthalmology
 (e) Surgical treatment of angle closure glaucoma
6. Discuss the aetiology and treatment of non-healing corneal Ulcer.
7. Write short notes on:-
 (i) Solar retinitis
 (ii) Central serous retinopathy
8. Write short notes on any two:-
 (i) Management of after cataract
 (ii) Treatment of endophthalmitis
 (iii) Retinoblastoma
