1. a) discuss the concepts of aliasing and antialiasing. How can the effects of aliasing
be minimized?
b) provide parametric formula of a line ranging from points (1, 1, 2) and (14, 14, 10).

2. discuss briefly about different display devices used in computer graphics.

3. provided 3x3 homogeneous-coordinate transformation matrix which will have the identical
effect as every of the subsequent transformation techniques:
(a) Scale the image to be twice as large and then rotate counter-clockwise by 90
degrees about the origin.
(b) Rotate clockwise about the origin by 45 degrees and then scale the y-direction
to be one-half as large.

4. a) Draw the flow diagram or a brief step-wise procedure for implementing Sutherland-
Hodgeman algorithm.
b) obtain the normalization transformation that maps a window whose lower left corner is
at (1, 1) and upper right corner is at (3,5) onto (a) a viewport that is the entire
normalized device screen and (b) a viewport that has the lower left corner at (0,0) and
upper right corner at (1/2,1/2).

5. discuss different mechanisms for Input device handling.

6. Derive the matrix form for the subsequent basic geometric transformations in 3-D graphics:
(a) Rotation
(b) Mirror reflection.

7. (a) Write an algorithm to that would test a provided plane surface against a rectangular area
to decide whether it is a surrounding, overlapping, inside or outside surface.
(b) Distinguish depth-sort and z-buffer algorithms.

8. a) State blending function used in B-spline curve generation. discuss the terms
Involved in it.
(b) elaborate the properties of B-spline curves?
