We are please to present you the detailed analysis of Management Aptitude Test held on 02^nd, December 2007 at 73 centers all over India.

This year AIMA move one step ahead from last year and jumbled up the paper (As last year AIMA had removed sections, but the questions from same test area were together). Difficulty wise there was nothing new in the paper, overall the paper was moderate. There were 40 questions each from English Language, General Awareness, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.

From General Awareness area there were questions Business, Current Awarenss, Economics and Five year plans. Since the marks get in GK questions do not include in merit an attempt of 15 to 20 questions will be sufficient.

The questions on Numbers, Percentages, Averages, Work and Time, Ratio and Proportion, Pipes and Cistersn, Time, Speed and Distance, Boats and Streams, Mixtures, SI and CI, Progression, Quantitative Comparision, Mensuration 2-D and 3-D, Permutation and Combination and Probability were the representative from the QA area. The following table will give the detail break up of the questions from this area. An attempt of 30 to 35 questions from this area is decent.

We have recalled some of the questions which are as follows

There were in all 20 questions on Statement-Argument, Statement-Assumption, Statement-Course of Action and Cause and Effect(five questions on each topic). Rest of the 20 questions from this area were on Data Arrangement, Coding and Decoding, Blood Relations, Alphabetical Series, Direction Test etc. The detail breakup is shown in the following table 6.    The probability of solving a questions by three persons who are working independently on it is 1/3, 1/4 and 1/5, then what is the probability that questions can't be solved is - 1/3, 2/5, 1/5 7.    A company produce two types of shirts - Men's shirts and Women's shirts. The profit margin in men's shirt is 8%, while overall profit markign is 6%. The women's shirt comprise 60% of total output. What is the average profit per sales rupee in women's shirt? - 0.0666, 0.0166, 0.0466, 0.380 8.    Ten questions to be selected out of 13.
