What is the purpose of statement on LABEL RECORDS? Discuss with the help of an example.
(c) Distinguish between elementary and group data item in COBOL. What is the role of different divisions in COBOL?

(ii) MULTIPLY QUANTITY BY RATE GIVING AMOUNT

(b) Explain the concept of blocking and buffering can they be used for all types of files? What advantages are offered by these techniques.
(c) What are the different types of file organization? What are the various ACCESS MODE clauses for the different types of files?
