Instructions for the students :
1. All ques. are compulsory.
2. “Long ans kind ques. (LAQ)” is a supply kind ques. of 20 marks,
which require typical ans of about 60-80 lines in about 32-40 minutes.
3. “Short ans kind ques. (SAQ)” is a supply kind ques. of five marks,
which require typical ans of about 15-20 lines in about 08-10 minutes.
4. Use of non-programmable kind of scientific calculator is allowed.
5. Draw neat diagrams wherever necessary.
6. presume suitable data if necessary.

Long ans kind ques. (LAQ’s)

1. (a) Draw a drain curve of JFET. discuss maximum drain current,
the ohmic region and gate cut off voltage.
(b) Compare e mode and d mode. MOSFET with reference to
construction. Draw drain curves and trans conductance
curve for E-MOSFET.

2. (a) explain the various input characteristics of OP-AMP (any
four).
(b) describe and discuss :
i) CMRR
ii) Gain bandwidth product
iii) Virtual ground concept

3. (a) discuss the working of summing op-amp. Design a summer
to add five V and seven V.
(b) discuss the working of SCS with suitable constructional
details. Compare it with SCR.

4. (a) discuss what is line and load regulation mean ? Should they
be hig or low, if you want a quality power supply ?
(b) For a provided circuit, compute Vout, IS, IL, and IC.

Short ans kind ques. (SAQ’s)

5. What is basic difference ranging from BJT and FET ? 5
6. With necessary constructional details, discuss the working of
SCR.

7. discuss Op-amp as non-inverting amplifier. 5
