Instructions for the students :
1. All ques. are compulsory.
2. “Long ans kind ques. (LAQ)” is a supply kind ques. of 20 marks,
which require typical ans of about 60-80 lines in about 32-40 minutes.
3. “Short ans kind ques. (SAQ)” is a supply kind ques. of five marks,
which require typical ans of about 15-20 lines in about 08-10 minutes.
4. Use of non-programmable kind of scientific calculator is allowed.
5. Draw neat diagrams wherever necessary.
6. presume suitable data if necessary.


Long ans kind ques. (LAQ’s)
1. (a) State and discuss the major steps in developing an assembly
language program.
(b) discuss any 5 assembly directives


2. presume that 5 numbers are stored in data segment from
offset address 2000H. Draw flowchart and write assembly
language program to obtain largest of these 5 numbers.

3. (a) Draw and discuss block diagram of 8259 priority interrupt
controller.
(b) define the purpose of the 8086 interrupt vector table.


4 (a) State and discuss the steps which you have to follow to
troubleshoot a microcomputer.
(b) Draw a interfacing diagram with all necessary signals to
interface two kbyte RAM with 8086.


Short ans kind ques. (SAQ’s)
5. Draw the format of 8086 flag register and discuss the function of
every bit.

6. discuss in detail how microprocessor execute a CALL instruction. 5
7. List the Series of actions microprocessor has to take after
getting interrupt signal.

8. With the help of proper diagram, discuss memory bank
organization in 8086.
