which require typical ans of about 60-80 lines in about 32-40 minutes.
3. “Short ans kind ques. (SAQ)” is a supply kind ques. of five marks
,which require typical ans of about 15-20 lines in about 08-10 minutes.
4. Use of non-programmable kind of scientific calculator is allowed.
5. Draw neat diagrams wherever necessary.

Long ans kind ques. (LAQ’s)

1. discuss in detail Physical and Mechanical properties of materials. 20
2. elaborate the different, polymeric material available ? Compare
thermosetting plastic and thermoplastic. Also write the
properties of plastic.

4 (a) Draw a neat sketch of equilibrium diagram for steel.
(b) What is heat treatment ? What is the purpose of Heat
treatment ? discuss hardening process.

5. Write a short note on : Composite Materials. 5
6. provide basic kinds of polymer. 5
7. How plastics are used for corrosion control ? 5
8. State the alloying element added to steel to get alloy steel and
the effect they produce.
