1. (a) Explain in detail TTLNand Gate and its application. 12 (b) Explain in detail schmitt trigger with waveforms. 8
2. (a) Design the voltage regulator using IC-723 V0 = 25 V and !m = 100 m A. 10 (b) Draw and explain precision rectifire. Draw input and output waveforms. Compare 10
precision rectifire with conventional rectifire.
3. (a) Draw basic block diagram of IC 555. Obtain Ihe circuit to achieve square outpul 10
with the frequency of 2 KHz and the duty cycle of 50%.
(b) Explain the use of IC- 7805 as a current source. 10
4. (a) Draw the circuit diagram of first order low pass Butterworth active filter. Derive the 10
expression for Cut off frequency. Design first order low pass filter for cutoff frequency 1.5 KHz.
(b) Draw the circuit diagram of static MOS RAM cell and explain. 10
5. (a) Draw and explain the shunt voltage regulator how it regulate the output voltage with 10
respect to:
(i) increase/decrease in input,
(ii) increase / decrease in load.
(b) Explain the adder circuit using Op-Amp. Design the adder circuit for the output 10 voltage
V0 = -(2Va+Vb+2Vc)
6. (a) Explain the functional diagram, discription and features of IC -7107. 10 (b) Draw and explain ECL NOR gate. Explain its characteristics. 10
7. Write short notes on the following : 20

(b) Sample and Hold circuit
