Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2005 will be conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 21st and 22nd May 2005 as noted beneath for the candidates who seek admission for M.B.A., M.C.A., & M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree Programmes in Tamil Nadu during the year 2005-2006.

Applications are invited for Separate Common Entrance Test for admission to:

1. M.B.A, 2. M.C.A, Degree Programmes offered by Anna University, Government Engineering Colleges, Government Aided Engineering Colleges, Government Arts & Science Colleges, Government Aided Arts & Science Colleges, Government Quota in Self Financing Engineering Colleges (both Minority & Non-Minority), Government Quota in Self Financing Arts & Science Colleges (both Minority & Non-Minority) including stand alone institutions.

3. M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes offered by constituent institutions of Anna University and Engineering Colleges affiliated to Anna University.

All the other Universities in Tamil Nadu, Government Aided Colleges (both Engg. & Arts and Science) in respect of management quota and Self-Financing (both Minority and Non-Minority) Colleges (both Engg. & Arts and Science) in respect of management quota of seats may opt to admit candidates on the basis of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test.

Other State candidates can write the entrance test but eligibility conditions will be fixed by the admitting authorities.

This advertisement provide only the details pertaining to the Common Entrance Test for admission to M.B.A., M.C.A. & M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree Programme for the Academic year 2005-2006.

Candidates are advised to look for separate advertisement to be released by the subsequent

admitting authorities concerned for the admissions of:

M.B.A, M.C.A., in all Engineering Colleges - by the Director of tech. Education, Chennai – 25.
M.B.A, M.C.A., in all Arts and Sciences Colleges - by the Director of Collegiate Education, Chennai - 6.
M.B.A., M.C.A.,(Regular & Self-Supporting) at Anna University – by the Director (Admissions), Anna University Chennai - 25.

M.E/M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. – GATE / Non-GATE/ Sponsored (Full Time/Part Time) categories, by the Secretary TANCA, Anna University, Chennai 25 under Single Window Systems.

ELIGIBILITY:

1. MBA: Any Degree

2. MCA: Should have passed any recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 school level. (or) Should have passed any recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as 1 of the subjects.
