2.a) ‘Communication is interchange of thoughts or opinions ranging from individuals through a common system of symbols’- Substantiate the statement by discussing the process of communication and various ways of communicating.

b) ‘Listening is an art’. explain the different guidelines for effective listening.
3.a) elaborate the objectives of a job interview? define the role to be played by the interviewee and the interviewer for effective conduct of the interview.

b) explain the importance and purpose of Group discussion in selecting candidates. List out the do’s and dont’s while participating in a group discussion.
4.a) What is negotiating? explain different negotiating styles and the possible results.

b) ‘Negotiating consists of a set of activities’- explain different activities involved in negotiating. Also list out the ingredients of a good negotiation process.
5.a) Comment on the importance of written analysis to business communication and also on the different steps involved in the process of written analysis.

6.a) ‘A business report must be persuasive, decisive and action-centred’- Substantiate the statement by discussing the systematic approach that should followed in writing a report.
