b. What is a Distributed Database? Illustrate with an example.
13. Identify the different components of ODBC architecture? Explain the function of each component.
14. What are global queries? Describe with suitable examples how global queries are translated into fragment queries.
15. Explain 2 phase commit protocol, with a suitable examples.
16. What is reliability? Briefly describe the non-blocking commit protocols.
17. Write short notes on the following :
i) Distributed dead locks
ii) ODBC connection model.
