PART – A : (Two Marks)

1) State Kirchoff’s current legal regulations.
2) State Kirchoff’s voltage legal regulations.
3) Calculate the total resistance of the circuit where the resistance R1=R2=R3= one ohm are connected in parallel.
4) If R1, R2, R3 are in series whose values are 1.2 Kilo-ohm, 500 ohm, 250 ohm respectively, compute the total resistance.
5) Calculate the total capacitance of the circuit having C1=10uF, C2=5pF, C3=12F connected in series. Also compute when it is connected in parallel.
6) Explain the voltage division in series circuit of 2 resistors.
7) Explain the current division in series circuit of 2 resistors.
8) The subsequent voltage drops are measured across every of 3 resistors in series, 5.5V, 7.2V & 12.3V. What is the value of the source voltage to which these resistors are connected? If a 4th resistor is added to the circuit with a source voltage of 30V, what should be the drop across the 4th resistor?
9) What is the voltage, VAB across the resistor,

10) Six bulbs are connected in parallel across 110V. every bulb is rated at 75W. How much current flows through every bulb and what is the total current?
11) The power dissipation in every of 3 parallel branches is 1W. What is the total power dissipation in the circuit?
12) Two resistances 15 ohm and 20 ohm are connected in parallel. A resistor of 12 ohm is connected in series with the combination, a voltage of 120V is applied across the entire circuit. obtain the current in every resistance, voltage across the 12 ohm resistance?
13) A resistance R is connected in series with parallel circuit comprising 2 resistances of 12 ohm and eight ohm. The total power dissipated in the circuit is 700W, when the applied voltage is 200V. compute the value of R.
14) Two voltmeters A and B having resistances 5.2 Kilo – ohm and 15 Kilo – ohm respectively are connected in series across 240V supply. What is the studying on every voltmeter?
15) If there are B branches and N numbers of nodes are current in a network, what is the total number of mesh current that will flow in the network?
16) If there are N nodes in a circuit, how many equations can be framed?
17) What is a bilateral network?
18) Define dependent and independent source.
19) What is meant by active and passive source? provide examples.
20) Distinguish ranging from mesh and loop with examples.
21) State the advantages of A.C over D.C.
22) Define form factor and peak factor.
23) Define the subsequent terms, admittance, conductance and susceptance. 2 circuits A & B are connected in parallel across 200V, 50Hz supply. Ckt. A consists of 10 ohm resistance and 0.12 henry inductance in series while ckt. B consists of 20 ohm resistance in series with 40uF capacitance. compute current in every branch and supply current.
