1. Determine the swing formula of a single generator connected to a double circuit line through the transformer and there from analyse the steady state stability. provide the comments.
2. Write down the flux linkage and voltage equations of a synchronous machine from its model and there from derive the electromagnetic torque formula.
3. Derive the voltage equations of a generator under no-load and Torque formula under load condition.
4. With the general function block diagram of an excitation system discuss in detail how the different components of a system is modeled.
5. Draw the synchronous machine model with the stator equations and prove that, if the armature flux linkage components, with respect to a synchronously rotating reference frame, are constants, then the transformer terms p?d, p?q and terms introduced by the variations in the rotor speed cancel every other.
6. discuss in detail with the equations, how the single machine system is analyzed.
7. Derive the synchronous and damping torque with the necessary phasor diagram.
8. Draw the block diagram of sample power system and discuss how basic concepts are applied using PSS.
