1. What is meant by parallelism in uniprocessor systems? Identify the different mechanisms
that have been developed for this purpose and define them. [16]
2. (a) What is vector processing? discuss the important characters of vector processing.
(b) discuss various fields of a vector Instructions. [16]
3. (a) Construct of mesh connected an ILLiac-IV Network with N = 16 PE’s. What
is its equivalent chordal ring topology.
(b) List down the different routing functions that characterizes Illiac -IV Network.

4. (a) define Merge - Sorting in M(4,4) sorting algorithm using an example.
(b) discuss the advantages of using shuffle interconnection for the implementation
