1. A programming language can be compiled or interpreted. provide relative advantages
and disadvantages of compilation and interpretation. provide examples of compiled
and interpreted languages.
2. discuss the formal method of defining syntax.
3. describe scope. discuss the static scope and dynamic scope with examples.
4. presume a programming language is used to extensively manipulate arrays. What
are the various array operations which you permit as language designer. Justify
your options.
5. (a) explain how generic functions are implemented in C++?
(b) explain about typechecking.
6. explain how abstract data kinds are implemented in SIMULA 67 and Ada.
7. explain the design problems of exception handling.
