1.    Discuss the debates about causation in social sciences with special reference to the notion of INUS condition.

2.    A large sample survey on the state of democracy has asked cross section of citizens a question: How satisfied are you with the way democracy works in our country-very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, totally dissatisfied? The survey yielded the following cross table:

What are the various theories of democracy? How far India can be considered a democracy? Support your answer with necessary arguments and evidences.

Examine the debates surrounding civil society-state relationship, with special reference to India.

Examine the relevance of Political Realism' of H.J. Morgcnthau in a globalizing world.

Explain the context and content of Indias Look East policy since the early 1990s. Identify and discuss the initiatives for good governance in India.
