Note:Attempt all questions.All questions are compulsory.All question
Carry equal marks.
Q.1 (a)The area of a field is 50000 sq m. The length & breadth of the field, on the map is 15 cm and 8 cm respectively. Construct a diagonal scale which can read up to one metre.
(b)The major axis and minor axis for an ellipse are 110 mm and 60 mm. Construct the ellipse by concentric circles method.
(c) A circle of 50 mm diameter rolls on another circle of 175 mm diameter on the outside. Draw the curve traced out by a point on the rolling circle. Also draw a set of tangent and normal on a suitable point on the curve.
Q.2 (a) The
end of a line AB is in HP and 25 mm, behind VP the end B is in the VP and 50 mm
above HP the distance between the end projectors is 75 mm. Draw the projections
of AB and determine its true length.
(b) A line CD 80 mm long is inclined at 45
degree to HP and 30 degree to the VP, its end C is in HP and 40 mm in front of
VP. Draw the VP & Draw the projections.
Q.3 (a) Draw
the projections of a circle of 50 mm diameter resting in HP on a point A on its
circumference. Its plane inclined at 45 degree to HP and top view of the
diameter AB making 30 degree angle with the VP.
(b) A heaxagonal pyramid base 25 mm side
and axis 55 mm long has one of its slant edges on the ground. A plane
containing that edge and the axis is perpendicular to HP and inclined at 45
degree to VP. Draw its projections when the apex is nearer to VP than the base.
Q.4.(a) A
cube of 65 mm long edges has its vertical faces equally inclined to VP. It is
cut by a section plane, perpendicular to the VP. So that the true shape of
section is a regular hexagen. Determine the inclination of the cutting plane
with the HP and draw the section top view and true shape of the section.
(b) Draw the projections of a cone restly on
the ground on its base and show on them. The shotest path by which a point P
starting from a point on the circumference of the base and moving around the
cone will return to same point. Base of cone 65 mm diameters and axis is 75 mm
long.
(c) A vertical square prism, base 50 mm side is
intersected by another prism, base 35 mm side the axis of which is parallel to
the VP and inclined at 30 degree to HP the axis of the inclined prism
intersects the verical prism axis draw the projections show the line of
intersection.
Q.5 (a) What is the difference between Isometric projection and Isometric drawing? Draw the Isometric projection of a sphere of radius 25 mm resting central on the top of a square prism of base edge 60 mm and height 30 mm.
(b) Draw the front view, top view and right side view of the object shown in figure.
