1. Draw a generalization and association diagram for a simple computerized Library System.
2. Differentiate between concurrence with and without synchronization using suitable example for each.
3. Define state charts. Explain the two strategies to implement state charts.
4. Differentiate between the following.
i. OODBMS and RDBMS
ii. Functional modeling and Object modeling
5. Define the following terms:
i. Metaclass
ii. Data hiding
iii. Scenario
iv. Persistency
6. What is the advantage of two way association? Explain how it can be implemented using an example.
7. What is design optimization? Does the rearrangement in execution order affect the design?
8. What is UML? What are the methodologies associated with UML? Discuss any five features of UML.
9. Write a short note on Structural and Behavioural diagrams. What are the constituent diagrams of these two broad categories? Discuss in brief, any two constituent diagrams of each type.
10. What is Unidirectional Implementation? Explain how it is different from Bi-directional Implementation with an example.
