Answer any Five Questions. All questions carry equal marks
1. State and explain Lambert-Beer law for the absorption of light by a solution in the U.V. light and visible region. Explain its limitation also.
2. What do you mean by Bravals lattice? Draw diagram for the BRAVAIS lattices of a cubic system. How many particles are occupied by the unit call of these lattices?
3. What is hetrogeneous catalysis? And state and explain it with suitable example of the activity and the selectivity of hetrogenous catalysis.
4. State and explain phase rule and use it discuss the phase diagram of sulphur system.
5. Discuss in detail the mechanism of enzyme catalysed reactions. Also coment on the result that you get in various condition of concentration of substrate and enzyme.
6. What is meant by bond moment and group moment? Discuss the structure of H20 and NH3 molecule on the basis of their dipole moment.
7. Deduce expression for the 2nd order reaction:
A + B > Product given that the initial concentration of the both reactant are different.
8. What do you mean by the 'Void' in the crystal lattice? Explain the difference between tetrahedral void and octahederal void.

9. Write Gibb's adsorption equation for a binary system. How is Gibb's adsorption is measured experimentally?
