(b) Enumerate the characteristics of the Victorian Age.

II. Answer any 1 of the following: in about 600 words :-
(a) Describe the early Victorian poets with reference to their poems.
(b) Briefly define the non-fictional prose in the Victorian era.
(c) Describe the main patterns in post-war British Fiction. (1*20=20 marks)

III. Answer any 1 of the following: in about 300 words :-
(a) The concept of war poetry.
(b) T.S Eliots poetry.
(c) The causes of the French Revolution and its influence on English Literature.
(d) Victorian Fiction.
(e) The poets of Transition.
(f) Contributions of Charles Dickens.
(g) Aims and achievements of Pre-Raphaelite movement.
(h) Contrast Browsing and Tennyson. (4*10=40 marks)
