Each question carries 2 marks.

1.    What is the nature of the law of contract ?

2.    What is fraud ?

3.    What is a general offer ?

4.    What is meant by free consent ?

5.    What is meant by a Holding Company ?

6.    What is meant by pollution ?

7.    What is an appropriate laboratory according to the Consumer Protection Act 1986.

(5 x 2 = 10 marks)

Section B

Answer any six questions.

Each question carries 5 marks.

9.    Distinguish between Coercion" and Undue influence.

10.    What are the rights of a surety ?

11.    Enumerate the secretarial duties relating to Annual General Meeting.

12.    What do you mean by ascertaining the sense of the meeting ?

13.    Enumerate the rules relating to auction sales.

14.    Define bailment. What are its essentials ?

15.    Enumerate the rights and obligations of a finder of lost goods.

16.    Enumerate the powers of State Board for the prevention and control of water pollution.

Answer any two questions.

Each question carries 15 marks.

17.    What are the provisions of the Companies Act 1956, regarding minutes ?

18.    Who is an Official Liquidator ? What are his powers and duties ?

19.    Explain the consumer Protection Councils as per the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.

20.    Explain the law relating to a minor's agreement.
