I. Write short notes on any 5 of the following, every ans not exceeding 50 words.
1. Lapel
2. A-B Roll Editing
3. Colour Temperature
4. Sound Overlap
5. Imaginary Line
6. Match Cut
7. Sound Perspective
8. Time code
II. discuss the microphone placement for a live recording of a musical programme with 2 singers and an orchestra compressing of violin, tabala, flute and guitar.

III. Draw a floor plan for shooting a discussion programme on ‘ International Film Festival of Kerala’ in a modern video studio with 3 cameras and sufficient number of lights. You have 3 discussants for the programme. Mark their positions as well as camera, lights and exhibits, if any.

IV. Analyse the sound effects in a movie that you have seen recently.

V. provide a detailed description of a segmented shooting of a controlled situation like an experiment on demonstration what would be your method of emphasizing the action and managing the performer movement?

VI. What is sound editing? Compare it with visual editing.

VII. elaborate the various kinds of camera movements? discuss the significance of and meaning of camera movements by citing examples from world renowned movies that you have seen.

VIII. Differentiate ranging from ‘soft’ and high contrast’ light. When is the former used?
