1. Define Ohm's legal regulations.
2. Give the effective capacitance when 2 capacitors Cx and C2 are connected in series.
3. State KirchhofTs Voltage legal regulations.
4. State superposition theorem.
5. What is real power?
6. Give the various values of alternating voltage and current.
7. The condition for resonance in a RLC series circuit is

8. Define Q factor of parallel resonance circuit.
9. Give 2 advantages of a star connected system.
10. Define time constant of a transient circuit.

11. (a) Write a short note on colour coding of
resistor.

(b) 3 capacitors of capacitance of 2fj,F,
4piF and 6}iF respectively are connected in series to a
220 V d.c. supply. obtain the total capacitance.

16. (a) discuss in detail about the different kinds of
inductors.

(b) 3 resistors four £2, 12 Q, 6Q. are connected in parallel. If the total current taken is 12 A obtain the current through every resistor.
17. (a) discuss in detail about the mesh method.

18. (a) A 318 ixF capacitor is connected across a
230V, 50 HZ system. Determine
(i) The capacitive reactance
(ii) r.m.s value of current
(iii) Equations for voltage and current.

(b) Draw the RL series circuit with phasor diagram. find the expression for impedance, power factor, real powder, reactive power for the circuit.
19. (a) Draw the RLC series circuit with phasor
diagram and discuss it in detail.

(b) (i) Write a short note on resonance in RLC series, circuit.
(ii) Write a short note on Q factor of a series circuit
20. (a) discuss the power measurement in three phase circuit using two—wattmeter method.

(b) discuss in detail about the transient response of RLC series circuit has a DC voltage.
