(a) The nuor u,u* minor axes of an ellipse arc 125mm and 100 mm respectively.

Draw (lie ellipse by concentric circle method and locale the foci.    (10)

(h) A wheel of 1.6 metres In diameter has six spokes connecting the rim and the hub. The wheel is rotating in the anti-clockwise direction at 80 rpm.

A particle oldust starts from the centre and travels ulong (he spoke with uniform velocity and reaches the rim after two scconds. Trace the path of the particle.

(Select a scale I : 10)    (10)

III.    (a) The front view of a line AH makes 30 with XY line. The I IT of the line is

36mm behind VP and ihe VT of Ihe line is 30mm above 111*. One end of the line In 10mm below I IP, While the other end is 20mm in front of VI* Draw the projections of the line and find (he (me length and true inclination of the line with III and VI1.    (10)

(b) A regular pentagonal lamina AHCDtf of 40mm side has one edge on IIP and inclined 50 to VP, The surface of the lamina makes 40 to the HP. Draw the projections of the lamina,    (10)

OK

IV.    (a) A straight line PQ has its mid point M at a distance of 45mm from both HP

and VP, Its true length Is KOmin und the top view makes 30 with XY and

the front view makes 45 with XY line, Draw the projections of the line and

obtain the (races.    (10)

(b) A lamina AHCD in the form of n rhombus has Its diagonal AC 60mm and (he other diagonal HO 30mm, it stands on a comer A on HP such that its .surface is inclined at 60 in the I IP and the dlagnonal IH) parallel to both ihe planus, Draw the projections ofthe lamina.    (10)

V,    A pentagonal pyramid of side of base 30mm and axis 65mm long is lying with one of im triangular luces on the ground. Draw (he projections when the tilanl edge opposite (o the face on the ground is inclined at 40 to the XY line

in top view wi(h base nearer lo the observer.    (20)

OH

VI,    A pentagonal pyramid of side of base 30mm and axis 60mm long lies on one of Its irlnngulur laces on IIP withuxls parallel to VP. It Is cut by a vertical section plime 45 inclined to VP passing through the top most point of the pyramid ut the given position. Draw the top view, sectional front view and

true shape of the scctiun retaining the apex portion.    (20)

(P.T.O.)

A pentagonal pyramid of side of base 40mm and height 73fnm stands with its base oo HP such that one of the bsc edges b parallel to VP and nearer it It is cu! by a section plane inclined A 30* to the HP and perpendicular to VP bisecting the axis. Draw the development of the lateral surface of the lower portion of the solid.    (20)

OR

A vertical square prism of 50ram side has its rectangular faces equity inclined to VP. It b fully penetrated by another horizontal square prism of base ode 30mm. The axis of the horizontal prism b parallel to VP and 6mn in front of the **is of the vertical prism- The rectangular faces of the horizontal prism are equally inclined to VP. Drew the projections of the solids showing the tines of the intersection. Assume the length of both prisms to be lOOtnm.    (20)

A square pyramid with edge of base 30mm and axis 50mm long b lying on one of its triangular faces on HP with axis parallel to VP. Draw the isometric projection of the solid at this position.    (20)

OR

A pentagonal prism of base side 25mm and 60mm kmg is tying behind die picture plane on one of the rectangular faces on ground plane with axis perpendicular to PP. One of the pentagonal feces is 12mm behind the picture plane. The station point is 60mm in front of PP, 55mm above gromd plane and lies in a central plane which is 40mm to the left of center of the prism. Draw the perspective view of the prism.    (20)
