Prepare a detailed estimate of a RCC roof slab of 3 m clear span and 6 m long from the given figure 2. RCC work including centering and shuttering and steel reinforcement in detail shall be taken separately. Also prepare bar bending schedule.    (40)

(i)    PCC 1:4:8 using 40 mm aggt.

(ii)    Brick work in cm 1:6

(iii)    Plastering using cm 1:4, 12 mm thick.    (3x5=15)

What is the purpose of valuation?

A pump set with motor has been installed at a cost of Rs. 25,000/-. Assuming the life of the pump as 15 years, work out the amount of annual installment of sinking fund required to be deposited to accumulate the whole amount of 4% compound interest.    (20)

What do you understand by Gilt edge securities? State their essential characteristics. (8) What is depreciation? What are the ways of calculating it?    (7)

What do you understand by rent of a property? Discuss different classifications of rents as are connected with the lease of a property.    *    (10)

A building costing Rs. 50,000,00.00 has been constructed on a free hold land measuring 100 sq.m in a big city. Prevailing rate of land is Rs. 1500 per sq.m. Determine the net rent of the property, if the expenditure on an outgoing including sinking fund is Rs. 2 lakhs per annum. Work out also the gross rent of the property per month.    (10)
