1. Is probation system effective as a tool of modern penology in treating the offenders specially in minor offences. Discuss with reference to overcrowding prison conditions in India and also mention the observations recently made by the Supreme Court of India in this respect.
2. Evaluate the development of compensatory jurisprudence in Victimilogy.
3. Write an essay on the legislative frame-work of reform and rehabilitation of offenders.
4. Write short notes on any two of the following :
(a) Community-Involvement in correctional programmes.
(b) Definition of Punishment.
(c) Imprisonment.
5. Punishment is not treatment. Punishment is not revenge. What is it ? Elucidate critically in the context of Indian criminal justice system.
6. Examine the rationale for alternative to Imprisonment. Discuss any two alternatives to imprisonment and their application in our country.
