SECTION-A
1. What do you understand by Logic? discuss the nature and difference ranging from inductive and deductive argument.

2. What is Term? discuss the nature and relation ranging from connotation and denotation of a term.

3. define the nature and rules of genus per differencia definition.

4. What do you understand by Categorical Proposition? define the nature of quality, volume and distribution in categorical propositions.

5. Test the validity of the subsequent arguments by Venn diagrams:
(i) All human are mortal.
All Indians are human.
Therefore all Indians are mortal.
(ii) All scientists are egoists.
a few scientists are philosophers.
Therefore a few philosophers are egoists.

SECTION-B

6. What do you understand by the argument by analogy? define its criteria of valuation.

7. What is Explanation? What is the difference ranging from scientific and unscientific explanation? explain.

8. What is Hypothesis? What is its significance in the process of scientific research? explain.

9. define Mill's method of agreement and disagreement.

10 What do you understand by Inductive reasoning? What is the place and significance of observation and experiment in this reasoning? explain.
