selecting 1 ques. from every unit,
All ques. carry equal marks.

UNIT-I

1. give a concise account of the structure and composition of the Crust, Mantle and Core in the interior of the earth.

OR

Critically examines the Theory of Mountain building enunciated by L. Kober.

UNIT-II
2. Mentioning the different kinds of soils on the basis of their formation, define the characteristics and distribution of every kind.

OR

Explaining the causes of Vulcanicity, illustrate the Extrusive Landforms associated with it.

UNIT-II

3. give an illustrative account of the landforms carved by the work of erosion by Glacier.

OR

Explaining the meaning of "Cycle of Erosion", explain the ideas of Penck about it.

UNIT-IV

4. define the factor controlling the distribution of Insolation on the surface of earth.

OR

give an illustrative account of the main characteristics of the Jet Streams.

UNIT-V

5. define with specific examples the factors responsible for the distribution of salinity in ocean waters.

OR

Explaining the forces responsible for the origin of the tides. explain their daily and fortnightly inequalities.
