4A) How do you measure the effective diameter of the thread using Three Wire Method ?
4B) The Slip guage of nominal length 20mm was measured on a guage length interferometer using red, green and violet light of Cadmium lamp of wavelength 0.6438 m, 0.5086 m and 0.4670 m respectively. The observed fractional displacement are 0.23, 0.33 and 0.71 respectively. Determine the correct length of the guage in mm upto four decimal accuracy.
