2. Attempt 1 ques. from every unit. Thus attempt 5 ques. in all.
3. All ques. carry equal marks.
4. presume suitable data wherever necessary.
5. English version should be deemed to be accurate in case of any anomaly in translation.
6.Protest against ques. paper, if any, should be lodged after paper through Head of Department Study Institute. No boycott of paper should be made under any circumstances by the examinees.

Unit-I
1.a. What do you understand by event driven programming ? List and discuss about a few of the events supported by Visual Basic Objects. (10)

b. elaborate the various data kinds supported by Visual Basic ? How they can be declared ? Also mention their uses. (5)

c. provide examples of passing arguments by value and passing arguments by reference in Visual Basic procedures. (5)

2.a. provide difference ranging from arrays and dynamic arrays. How they can be created in Visual Basic ? provide Syntax. (10)

b. Write a program using dynamic arrays to record the high temperatures of last 7 days and to display all of them with the avg. of high temperatures. Use 3 buttons on the screen, 1 to enter the temperature, 2nd to display the outcome and 3rd to exit from program. (10)

3.a. discuss the properties and different methods used to manipulate list box control. How indexing can be done with a list box control ?(10)

b. What is the difference ranging from pull-down and pop-up menus ? Write steps to create a menu that will allow you to create a new file, open, copy and delete a file. (10)

4.a. elaborate the various file controls available in Visual Basic ? provide improper codes for connecting these file controls. (10)

b. explain briefly abut graphics controls. Write a program to print a provided string10 times, every time with increased font size and a various colour. (10)

5.a.Expalin different kinds of fault that may occur in VB Also provide tips to avoid them. (10)

b.What are the advantages of OLE ? discuss different methods that can be applied to OLE containes control.

6.a.Explain about the various ways of arranging the Windows on an MDI form. (5)

b.Write steps and codes needed to create a MDI project that allows the user to choose multiple Windows and provide the status of currently active Window, It shouldn't be possible to switch to other window without closing the current Window, The menu items fo the child Windows shoule be various from the MDI form.
