SECTION-A

1. Write in detail about the various stages of manufacturing Cotton
fabric.[Marks 10]

2. (a) Classify Textile fibres.[Marks 4]
(b) Explain physical and chemical properties of Viscose Rayon.[Marks 6]

SECTION-B

3. Name various methods of fabric construction.Explain bonding in detail.[Marks 10]

4. Differentiate ranging from the following:

(a) Simple and Bulk Yarn[Marks 5]
(b) Satin and Sateen Weave.[Marks 5]

SECTION-C

5. What do you understand by oxidising bleaches ? discuss various kinds of
oxidising bleaches and suitability to various fabrics.[Marks 2,8=10]

6. Explain any 2 of the subsequent finishes:

(a) Crease resistant
(b) Water proofing
(c) Mercerization.[Marks 5,5=10]

7. (a) Explain the process of tie and dye.[Marks 5]
(b) Explain different techniques of tying the fabric for creating various
effects of tie and dye.[Marks 5]

8. Explain the process of block printing.[Marks 10]
