a) A metallic body floats at the interface of mercury and water in such a way that 40% of its quantity is submerged in mercury and 60% in water. obtain the density of metallic body.

b) A block of wood five m long *2 m wide* one m thick is floating horizantally in water. The density of wood is 650 kg/m3 obtain quantity of water displaced and position of centre of buyouncy.
