i) Major axis = 100mm    ii) Distance between foci = 80mm

0 A ball thrown up in the air reaches a maximum height of 45 metres and travels a horizontal distance of 75 metres. Trace the path of the ball assuming it to be parabolic,

g) Draw a line AB 75 mm long. At B , erect a perpendicular BC 100 mm long. Draw a line joining A and C and measure its length. Construct a square on each line as side.

Q.3) Attempt any TWO of the following.    16 Marks

a)    A line PA 75 mm long, has its end P in the V.P. and the end A in the H.P. The line is inclined at 30 to the H.P. and at 60 to the V.P. Draw its projections.

b)    A square A B C D of 50 mm side has its corner A in the H.P., its diagnol A C inclined at 30 to the H.P. and the diagonal B D inclined at 45 to the V.P. and parallel to the

H.P. Draw its projections.

c)    Draw the projections of a pentagonal prism, base 25 mm side and axis 50 mm long, resting on one of its rectangular face on the H.P. with the axis inclined at 45 to the V.P.

Q.4) Attempt any TWO of the follow ing.    16 Marks

a)    A hexagonal pyramid, base 25 mm side and axis 50 mm long, has an edge of its base

on the ground. Its axis is inclined at 30 to the ground and parallel to the V.P. Draw its projections.

b)    Draw the development of the lateral surface of part P of the pentagonal prism shown in fig. ( Ref. Fig No. 1)

c)    Draw the development of the lateral surface of the part P of the hexagonal Pyramid shown in fig. ( Ref. Fig No.2 )

Q.5> Attempt any TWO of the following.    16 Marks

a)    A pentagonal prism, base 30 mm side & height 70 mm has an edge of its base on the ground and the axis parallel to the V.P. and inclined at 60" to the H.P.A sent ion plane, having its H.T. perpendicular to xy, and the V.T. inclined at 60 to xy and passing through the highest corner, cuts the prism. Draw the Sectional T.V. & true shape of the section.

b)    A square prism, base 45 mm side, axis 90 mm long, has its base on the ground and its faces equally inclined to the V.P. It is cut by a plane, perpendicular to the V.P. inclined at 60 to the H.P. and passing through a point on the axis, 65 mm above the ground. Draw its front view and sectional top view.

c)    Pictorial view of the object is shown in figure ( Ref. Fig No-3 ) . Draw to full size Scale, i) F. V.    ii) Top View    iii) L. H. S. V.
