17. Case Study:
(a) A Public Company forfeited 100 shares , re-issued them and thereby earned a
surplus of Rs. 2,500 .The Company did not file a return of allotment to the register in
respect of these shares .Has the company contravened any provision of the
Company Act?
(b) The working hours including rest interval of a women employed in a factory have
been fixed from two pm to 11 pm .Are the working hours valid? provide reasons for the
answer.
