(i) Differentiate Data and Information by giving suitable example.

(ii) What is domain in DBMS?

(iii) What do you mean by the term Self Describing in database?

(iv) Differentiate Entity and Entity occurrence.

Q-4. Explain data warehousing concept. Define data warehouse describing all its features. How does it differ from a database? (20)

Q-5. Name and describe various tools for Data warehousing. (20)

Q-6. Justify the need of recovery mechanism of database. Give two recovery techniques assuming concurrent execution of transaction. (20)
Q-7. Write an elaborate note on Data-mining comparing it with KDD. Discuss the various techniques of Data-mining. (20)

(ii) OLAP operations on a multi-dimensional data model

(iii) Data Marts and its types (iv) Relationships in ER model
