Note: All questions carry equal marks. Attempt five questions. Question 1 is compulsory. Select two questions from Section B & two from Section C.

Q-1. (i) Write any four objectives of teaching Physical Science in schools at Secondary level?

(ii) Mention four merits of lecture cum demonstration method in teaching of physical science?

(iii) What is the co-relation of Physical Science with other subjects (History and Economics)?

(iv) State the uses of improvised apparatus in physical science.

(v) What are the advantages of organizing Science Excursions?

(vi) Write a short note on comprehensive and continuous evaluation.

(vii) Mention the merits of an oral test.

(viii) What is the importance of planning a lesson?

(ix) What are the demerits of Project method in teaching of Physical Science?

(x) Differentiate between content analysis and pedagogical analysis. (2x10=20)

Q-2. What are the characteristics of a good science text book. Choose any recently developed Physical Science text book from secondary level and evaluate it. Write its strengths and weaknesses. (20)

Q-3. Explain the need and concept of pedagogical analysis. What are its components and operations. Give examples to support your answer. (20)

Q-4. Discuss the concept of evaluation. Explain advantages and limitations of written tests in Physical Sciences. (20)

Section C

Q-5. The study of Physical Science is useful for community and individual. Justify this statement and summarise the chief values of physical science in modern life. (20)

Q-6. Discuss Blooms Taxonomy of instructional objectives. Keeping in view the Blooms Taxonomy frame instructional objectives of the cognitive domain from any topic of physical science of Class VI VIII. (20)

Q-7. Differentiate inductive approach from deductive approach of teaching Physical Science at secondary level. Support your answer with examples. (20)

Q-8. Identify a topic from class VI X of physical science syllabus and prepare a lesson plan for teaching it. (20)
