Teaching of Bioscience (ED-106)

Before answering the question, candidates should ensure that they have been supplied the correct and complete question paper. No complaint in this regard will be entertained after the examination.

 


Note: This question paper has three parts. Part A is of short answer type and the word limit is 75-100 words. Section B and C are long answer type and the word limit for them is 300-400 words.

Q-1. Answer the following questions. (10x2=20)

(i) Write any four values of teaching biological sciences at secondary school level.

(ii) Frame any four behavioural objectives on any topic of biological science.

(iii) What are the advantages of Unit planning for a teacher? Write at least four advantages.

(iv) Define the term pedagogical analysis.

(v) List any four advantages of action research

(vi) What is the importance of CAI (Computer Assisted Instructions) in teaching biological sciences at secondary school level?

(vii) Write four merits of objective type test.

(viii) Mention any two salient features of Team Teaching.

(ix) Write four advantages of using audio-visual aids in teaching biological sciences.

(x) How do Journals and magazines support teaching of biological science.

Section B

Q-2. Discuss the application and significance of Biological science in our daily lives giving suitable examples. (20)

Q-3. Formulate three objectives from the cognitive domain, three objectives from the affective domain and four from the Psychomotor domain in behavioural terms on any topic of your choice from Biological science curriculum of class VIIth. (20)

Q-4. Explain the role of Guided inquiry and concept mapping with suitable examples in the teaching of Biological Science. (20)

Section C

Q-5. Prepare a micro lesson plan of 10 minutes on any one of the following topics at secondary school level

(i) Structure of flower

(ii) Respiration (Human)

(iii) Binary Fission (20)

Q-6. Write short notes on any two of the following:

(i) Aquarium

(ii) Vivarium

(iii) Improvised Apparatus in Biological Science at secondary level. (20)

Q-7. Develop four multiple choice questions, two short answer type questions and four essay type questions on any one topic of your choice from the Biological Science Curriculum of class VIIIth. (20)

Q-8. Prepare a action research proposal highlighting all the steps of action research on any problem related to the teaching and learning of Biological Science. (20)
