Before answering the question, candidates should ensure that they have been supplied the correct and complete question paper. No complaint in this regard will be entertained after the examination.

 


Note: All questions carry equal marks. Attempt five questions. Question 1 is compulsory. Select two questions from Section B & two from Section C.

Q-1. Answer the following questions : (10x2=20)

(i) Define Social Science.

(ii) Write the name of three domains given by Dr. B.S. Bloom.

(iii) Give the full name of R.C.E.M.

(iv) Write two objectives in behavioural terms from the topic Fundamental rights.

(v) Name out the steps of project method

(vi) Give two suggestions for the effective use of map.

(vii) Write two advantages of objective type test

(viii) What do you mean by remedial teaching?

(ix) Write basic difference between action research and fundamental research.

(x) In how many ways can a topic be introduced in Social Science (Write any two)?

Section B

Q-2. Discuss the objective of teaching Social Science as prescribed in Secondary School curriculum. (20)

Q-3. Describe the scope and importance of Social Science. How does Social Science differ from Social Studies? (5+5+10)

Q-4. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of story telling method. What precautions a teacher should take to make his story more effective? (6+6+8)

Section C

Q-5. Discuss the importance of lesson planning & make a lesson plan of 9th class on any topic of your choice for 30 minutes. (5+15)

 

Q-6. What is continuous and comprehensive evaluation? How the results of evaluation can be used for improving the quality of teaching and learning? (5+5+10)

 

Q-7. Explain the meaning and importance of action research for teachers and mention the various steps for conducting an action research project. (3+5+12)

 

Q-8. (a) Describe the utility of pedagogical analysis for a Social Science teacher. (10)

(b) Prepare a plan of field trip to any place of cultural importance. How you would use this trip to teach Social Science? (10)
