6 With a view to motivating the employees of an enterprise, 7 the performance Appraisal of employees is done irregularly by the immediate superior. Based on the reports presented by the superior, the employees are given increments and. Promotion. The employees have doubts about the impartiahty of their Performance appraisal. The manager also hesitates to give negative feedback to the employees. The employees also experience a feeling of injustice and insecurity. As a result, the performance Appraisal, instead of resulting in the people development, creates - a negative impact on the organisational climate.

Examine the defects of performance appraisal in the above situation and make your Suggestions, for improvement in the Performance Appraisal.
