Time: three hours Max Marks: 80
ans any 5 ques.
All ques. carry equal marks
? ? ? ? ?
1. (a) 2 points A and B are 100mm apart. A point C is 75mm from A and 60mm
from B. Draw an ellipse passing through A, B and C.
(b) A point P is 30mm and 50mm respectively from 2 straight lines which are
at right angles to every other. Draw a rectangular hyperbola from P within
10mm distance from every line. [8+8]
2. Draw a hypo cycloid of a circle of 30mm diameter which rolls inside a different circle
of 160mm diameter, for 1 revolution counter clock wise. Draw a tangent and a
normal to it at a point 60mm from the center of the directing circle. [16]
3. Draw the projections of the subsequent points on the identical ground line, keeping the
Projectors 20mm apart.
(a) Point C, in the V.P. and 40mm above the H.P.
(b) Point D, 25mm beneath the H.P. and 25mm behind the V.P.
(c) Point E,15mm above the H.P. and 50mm behind the V.P.
(d) Point F, 40mm beneath the H.P. and 25mm infront of the V.P. [4×4]
4. (a) A 100mm long line is parallel to and 40mm above the H.P. Its 2 ends are
25mm and 50mm in front of the V.P. respectively. Draw its projections and
obtain its inclination with the V.P.
(b) A line AB, 50mm long, has its end A in both the H.P. and the V.P. It is
inclined at 300 to the H.P and at 450 to the V.P. Draw its projections. [8+8]
5. A square ABCD of 50mm side has its corner A in the H.P, its diagonal AC inclined
at 300 to the H.P. and the diagonal BD inclined at 450 to the V.P. and parallel to
the H.P. Draw its projections. [16]
6. A hexagonal pyramid, side of the base 25mm long and height 70mm, has 1 of
its triangular faces perpendicular to the H.P. and inclined at 450 to the V.P. The
base-side of this triangular face is parallel to the H.P. Draw its projections. [16]
7. Draw the isometric view of the block, 2 views of which are shown in figure 7.
(All dimensions are in mm). [16]
