1. What is a remote sensor ? discuss the main components of a sensor and define the basic kinds of sensor used in remote sensing.

2. Draw a schematic diagram to discuss the electromagnetic spectrum. describe atmospheric windows and discuss why remote sensing of the earth surface is generally confined to this wavelength.

3. Write a note on the principle and limitations of the optical system. define the kinds of aberrations associated with the optical system and their effects.

4. Write a note on the influence of atmosphere on remote sensing.

5. "The kind and level of thematic info extracted from satellite images varies with geometric resolution and the spectral range of the cameras". explain this statement with reference to the IRS WIFS, LISS and PAN cameras.

6. What is GPS ? Outline major fundamental concepts of GPS with respect to space segment, control segment and user segment.
