Instruction : All questions carry equal marks.
1 (a) Explain the demand law and demand function. 6
(b) The demand law of a commodity is P = ajx + b. When 14 the price of commodity was Rs. 4, then demand was 40 units. When the price becomes Rs. 6, then demand comes to 30 units. Find the value of a and b. Find actual mod of demand. Draw the demand curve and find the demand, for price Rs. 8
OR
1 (a) Explain the elasticity of demand and its different 14
methods.
(b) If the demand law is d = 24 - Jp, then obtain the 6
value of elasticity of demand at price P = 25.
What is market equilibrium ? Explain importance in reference of demand and price. Explain the impact of tax on equilibrium with diagrams.
Find the equilibrium price and demand of the following functions :
Demand function
(1) D = 55 - 2 P (1)
(2) D = 26 - 2 P (2)
OR
What is Revenue ? Explain the revenue function and marginal revenue function.
Find the revenue function if the demand function
1800 - P
Supply function S = 20 + 1.5P S = 2 P2 - 10 P + 2
Draw the curve of maximum revenue
and decide the maximum revenue. Datermine the price and demand to get the maximum revenue.
