Q1 Differentiate between methods and styles of printing. What types of prints are generally printed with discharge printing style? Can you create same prints with discharge and direct styles? Which dye characteristics are important for selection of dyes for discharge printing and why?
Q2) Classify dyes based on their suitability for different fibres. Which dyes are suitable for application to cotton and other cellulosic fibres and why?
Q3) What are the reasons of continued dominance of use of synthetic dyes over natural dyes?
Q4) Outline major dyeing defects likely to occur in any one of the methods of dyeing.Suggest remedial measures and precautions to rectify and minimize their occurrence.
